So Friday 26th Oct saw five of the team embark on the first Ridgeway Hike meeting at Hike HQ....well Duncan's house. This picture shows us hard at work;. Duncan checking the data on the lap top, Joel studying the map intently, Scott being studious looking at the projector (yes we had a projector!!), me making copious amounts of notes and Mat checking out the contents of his beer!  Yes Mat is behind my fat head. Well meeting one went really well. Tasks have been assigned and roles have been filled. Scott; the brave soul, has offered to be our blister and sprain specialist and first aid man. He has promised to include more in the first aid kit than the old school magic sponge and water.
Some more updates will be following shortly with info on boots, shoes, laces, food and loads more.
Ta for now. D

After months of development and countless hours of graphic design and computer wizardry I can now reveal the all new Ridgeway Rabble Logo!! Thanks to our partners at Big D Design for the use of the logo!

Whoop Whoop. After just 24 hours we have our first sponsorship in. Well done Ally C for your efforts. Lets keep the momentum going and thanks to those that have sponsored us so far.

Okay so I couldn't think of a witty blog post title but I'm sure they will come in time. So this is post number one. Welcome to the Ridgeway Rabble website and in particular the blog section. Helloooooooooooooo. Hopefully this page will give you an update into the organisation of the event along with some thoughts of the team and what is happening generally.
First up is our proposed first team trial hike organised for Sunday 9th December. This will probably be the first time most of the team will be together. So this day will act as a team session as well as a personal one to test out kit and fitness levels. I'm fully expecting the trial to tell me that I need to lay off the pies and put that pint down over the festive period!! It will be a 30 mile hike split into 3 loops of 10 miles starting and finishing in Chilton. So those that have problems on the 1st or 2nd loop can bail out! There are a selection of good pubs on the route though! So perhaps this will keep people going.
At present we are up to 12 members and these can be seen on 'The Rabble' page of the website. Some updates are needed so get your details in guys. We also have a support team in place so I'm hoping to include the rabble page to include them as well.
So signing of now. But more to follow I'm sure
Cheers
Dave (Big D)
